Kazi Enayet Ullah, a well-known businessman, writer, and social worker who has long been recognized for his contributions to community welfare, has officially announced his decision for the upcoming national parliamentary election from Dhaka-17 as an independent candidate.

He also serves as the Secretary General of the All European Association of Bangladesh (AEAB), has spent decades building connections among expatriate Bangladeshis across Europe. Based in France, he has become a familiar face in diaspora initiatives focused on cultural preservation, social support, and community solidarity. His peers often describe him as someone who values compassion and cooperation, qualities that have shaped much of his public work.

A descendant of the historic Chairman Bari in Banani, and nephew of the late Chairman, he comes from a family with longstanding ties to community leadership in the capital. People praise his continued engagement with residents of the area, particularly in cultural and philanthropic projects, even while living abroad.

Despite his overseas residence, Kazi Enayet Ullah has consistently remained active in initiatives that support Bangladesh’s economic, cultural, and diplomatic growth. Over the years, he has taken part in programs aimed at assisting migrant workers, promoting Bangladeshi arts on international platforms, and strengthening ties between Bangladesh and European institutions. Colleagues involved in these activities frequently note his patience, generosity, and willingness to step forward during community crises and traits that have earned him respect both at home and abroad.

Political observers give their opinion that Kazi Enayet Ullah’s extensive international exposure, combined with his long record of cultural and community work, may resonate with voters who value personal integrity, social commitment, and grassroots engagement. His independent candidacy has added a distinctive dimension to the Dhaka-17 race, drawing interest from residents curious about his background and long-standing involvement in social initiatives.
