Israel’s War Crimes Against Palestinians: The UN Spoke, the West Shrugged, and the Media Played Blind

When the Powerful Rape, the Oppressed Bleed in Silence

Earlier this month, while the world was scrolling through TikToks and fake concern over celebrity breakups, a United Nations commission quietly dropped a bombshell: a detailed report documenting Israel’s systematic use of sexual, reproductive, and gender-based violence against Palestinians in the occupied territories since 7 October 2023.

Yes, you read that right. Rape, torture, abuse—systematic, intentional, and ongoing. But instead of sparking outrage or emergency debates in western capitals, the news was met with—you guessed it—shrugs and silence. The kind of silence that screams complicity.

Meanwhile, Israel was busy hitting reset on its war machine in Gaza. After pretending to flirt with a ceasefire (which turned out to be just another PR move), Tel Aviv went back to doing what it does best: flattening neighborhoods, turning hospitals into rubble, and blaming it all on Hamas.

And that’s where the world’s cognitive dissonance kicks in.

One Documentary, Two Realities: The Propaganda Machine Rolls On

Just days before the UN report surfaced, I sat through October 8, an American documentary claiming Hamas committed acts of sexual violence during its October 2023 attack. Let’s be blunt—it felt like a recruitment video for Israeli hasbara (propaganda), cloaked as a campus docudrama on antisemitism in the U.S.

Now let’s be clear: any sexual violence, from any side, is abhorrent. But October 8 was based largely on unproven Israeli claims, focused on one day, and pushed in 100+ U.S. theaters. Compare that to the UN’s report—meticulously (yes, I risked a fine for that word) compiled across months, based on verified evidence, and still ignored in most Western media.

That’s not journalism. That’s spin. That’s a smokescreen.

Where’s the Media? Oh Right—Busy Protecting Israel’s Image

You want to know what the West does with inconvenient truths? It buries them. The film No Other Land, which dares to humanize Palestinians and tell their story, was denied distribution in the U.S. Never mind that it just won an Oscar. The only thing more dangerous to the establishment than a Palestinian with a camera is a Palestinian with empathy.

The UN’s revelations? Barely a footnote on mainstream TV. Meanwhile, half-baked Israeli talking points get front-page treatment. That’s not an oversight. That’s design.

And the silence doesn’t end there. Western leaders, glued to Israel’s talking points like toddlers to iPads, parrot the same lines about “security” and “self-defense,” while punishing anyone who dares chant “Free Palestine” in public.

Censorship has a new flag—and it’s blue and white.

International Law Is Clear—Israel’s Actions Are Not Just Brutal, They’re Illegal

Let’s not dance around it: Israel is an occupying force under international law. And the Fourth Geneva Convention isn’t exactly optional reading. It mandates humane treatment of civilians—no torture, no forced transfers, and definitely no sexual violence.

Yet here we are. Gaza has been turned into a graveyard. More than 80% of buildings are gone. Tens of thousands are dead. And women are not just mourning their children—they’re being subjected to violations so vile, even the UN couldn’t stay quiet anymore.

The aim here is not just “security”—that mask slipped a long time ago. Israel wants land. And the plan is as old as apartheid itself: scare, starve, bomb, and push the people out.

“Security” is just the sales pitch. Ethnic cleansing is the product.

A War on Women, A War on Truth

The UN report makes it plain: Israel’s state violence is not some rogue element. It’s policy. Soldiers are given free rein to humiliate, violate, and terrorize—often with full knowledge and approval from higher-ups.

The report states, “The lack of effectiveness of the military judicial system sends a clear message to Israeli forces that they can continue committing such acts without fear of accountability.”

Translation: Rape and torture aren’t just tolerated—they’re systemically greenlit. The suffering of Palestinian women is not a side effect. It’s the plan. It’s part of the psychological war to destroy communities, break spirits, and force flight.

Let’s Not Pretend the World Doesn’t Know

The International Court of Justice (ICJ), no radical lefty outfit by any stretch, ruled in July 2024 that Israel’s occupation had become so lawless, it was no longer legal under international law. That was before the full-blown genocide we’re watching unfold now.

So what are world leaders doing about it? Holding meetings, making statements, and doing nothing. Business as usual. Because as long as Israel keeps pretending it’s a democracy, the West will keep pretending it’s not an apartheid state.

Here’s the Ugly Truth: This Is a Genocide in Real Time

This isn’t just about bombs and bulldozers. This is about deliberate, sadistic violence—sexual and otherwise—inflicted to erase a people. Strip searches, beatings, torture, rape—it’s all part of a strategy that sees Palestinian lives as expendable.

Top Israeli officials don’t even bother denying it anymore. They deflect by screaming “antisemitism” whenever someone calls them out. It’s the world’s most cynical weaponization of trauma—and it’s working.

Final Thoughts

Israel’s war isn’t just about borders or defense. It’s about domination—by any means necessary. And the West, complicit in silence and censorship, is happy to let it happen.

If you want justice, don’t look to Hollywood. Don’t look to cable news. Look to the people documenting from the rubble, speaking from the cages, resisting from the ashes.

And if you call yourself a feminist, a human rights advocate, or just someone who gives a damn—this is the moment. Speak. Scream. Share. Because while the world watches passively, an entire people is being destroyed—body, soul, and history.

The UN reported the rape. The West reported the weather.
